Located in Bradford, Ohio, Master built its first car in 1983, and it was
a short-wheelbase landau hearse conversion of an Olds 98 4 door sedan; which
was sold to a firm in Cincinnati. A second similar car was built on an '84
Olds 98, and it was still in the company's hands when it went into
receivership in 1985. With the demise of rear drive Olds 98 sedans, Master
offered to build coaches on order, with the customer to provide the base
car, but had no takers. The second car was sold after the company was out of
business to a firm in Dayton, Ohio. Master was formed by a couple of former
Miller-Meteor employees, and what they did was to revive the concept of the
Miller-Meteor Athena, with some modifications.
