Utilimaster – Wakarusa, Indiana founded in 1973, a
spin-off off an RV firm, supplies most of the larger Fed-Ex step vans. Built
1,900 in 1995 for the US Postal Service. Step vans and bodies for cab &
chassis. Since 1973 Utilimaster has been building quality custom commercial
vehicles that include walk-in vans (also referred to as “step vans”), parcel
delivery vans (“PDVs” also referred to as “high cubes” or “cutaways”), and
truck bodies. Customers include FedEx, United States Postal Service, Canada
Post, Purolator, Airborne, Budget, Penske, Ryder TRS, Frito-Lay, Keebler,
Krispy Kreme, IBC, Cintas, AmeriPride, Verizon, Apria Health Care, and Home
Depot.
