John Bumgarner was the original founder of Executive Coach Builders 1977.  After selling Executive Coach Builders in the eighties, John became active in the pre-owned limousine market.  In 1994 John started Springfield Coach Builders and hired multiple former employees with many years of experience.

Springfield Coach Builders offers 60"-120" Stretch Lincolns, 70”-120” Stretch Ford Excursions, pre-owned Limousines and Lincoln Town Cars. Springfield Coach Builders' mission is dedicated to manufacturing limousines to the highest of standards, ethical business practices, and our trademark reputation of customer satisfaction.  SCB offers a 24 hour service number- we are always just one phone call away.

Springfield Coach Builders continues to have one of the industry’s highest customer retention ratios.  At Springfield Coach Builders we understand that our customers are our most valued asset.

Springfield was acquired by Ft Lauderdale, Florida's Coach Industries Group in 2003. Bumgarner was appointed Chairman of CIG. Another large limousine manufacturer, US Coach of West Islip, N.Y., was purchased earlier in the year.
