This company was organized by three prominent New Jersey bus operators to
build a bus to New Jersey specifications, which were at that time unusually
rigorous. As a basis they used the Ace bus chassis manufactured by the
American Motor Truck Company of Newark, Ohio, and in fact hired two American
Motor Truck executives as general manager and chief engineer. Chassis were
assembled and bodies constructed at Rahway. Waukesha engines were used.
Model A was a 29-passenger bus and Model D was slightly smaller; the letters
Band C were apparently skipped because Ace was building buses with those
designations. Late in 1927 Royal announced the Model E, an improved A, but
it does not appear that any were built. Total production was about 50 buses.
