Art’s Way formed a new subsidiary during the third quarter called Cherokee Truck Bodies, Inc. and purchased the assets of Obeco, Inc. effective July 28, 2003 for a total of $521,723. The name of the Company will change to Cherokee Truck Bodies, Incorporated, but the truck bodies will continue to be sold under the recognized name OBECO. The company will continue to be located in Cherokee, Iowa.. Art's-Way manufactures and distributes farm machinery niche products including animal feed processing products, sugar beet, potato and edible bean equipment, and land maintenance products. Products aimed at the grain farms include drills, shredders and rotary tillers. Art's-Way also produces tillage and feed processing machinery for several original equipment manufacturers.
