Monaco Coach Corporation (NYSE: MNC) is one of the nation's leading
producers of recreational vehicles. Although headquartered in Oregon, Monaco
opened the first of its two Elkhart, Indiana production facilities in 1991,
the second in 1994.
Royal Coach by Monaco, a premium bus converter, is also based in Elkhart
and has been a wholly owned subsidiary since 1995.
In March of 1996, Monaco purchased Holiday Rambler Recreational Vehicles
from Harley-Davidson, Inc. Based in Wakarusa, Indiana, Holiday Rambler has
been producing industry-leading recreational vehicles for the past 43 years.
In August 2001, Monaco also acquired Oregon - based Recreational Vehicle
Manufacturer SMC, maker of Safari and Beaver brand motorhomes.
There are 5200 employees nationwide with Kay L. Toolsonas, CEO and John
Nepute, President.
