Specializing in the conversion of older carved-paneled motor coaches, L&M
Manufacturing of Dayton, Ohio offered funeral directors an inexpensive way of getting a modern-looking
limousine-style coach. They would remove older columned and carved-panel bodies from donor chassis and replace
them with modern limousine-style bodies. They also built bodies for new chassis, but were one of the few firms
that refurbished/concerted older coaches. Their 1926 catalog showed two limousine-style leather-back coaches, one on
a Nash Advanced Six chassis and another on a Cadillac.
