The medium to large capacity trucks by these companies began as vehicles
for moving operations. The later and larger trucks had capacities up to five
tons. They all used three-speed gearboxes, four-cylinder engines and final
drive by roller chains. Like most trucks of the period, they were governed
to a maximum speed, and typically, to 10 mph for the largest models. A
number of fire engines were made in 1911-1912.
