Great Southern
Automobile Co. - 1915-1917 - Birmingham, Alabama
This commercial vehicle was preceded by several years of publicity
before building its first product, a 25-passenger bus. The 2- and 4-tonners
used underslung worm-drive to give minimum frame height. This resulted in
minimum clearance of only seven inches. The Great Southern was one of the
few commercial vehicles built in the deep south.
