America's Body Company aka ABC Truck - One of the
largest suppliers and installers of truck bodies and equipment in the United
States. America's Body Company began in 1976 as Great Lakes Truck Equipment
in Independence, Ohio. In 1978 Great Lakes Truck Equipment moved to its
current location in Oakwood Village, Ohio and acquired Buckeye Truck
Equipment of Columbus, Ohio. In 1985 Great Lakes Truck Equipment and Buckeye
Truck Equipment started Independence Truck Equipment as a division of Great
Lakes. In 1986 Great Lakes Truck Equipment, Buckeye Truck Equipment, and
Independence Truck Equipment were merged into a new corporation, America's
Body Company. In 1990 ABC acquired Phoenix Manufacturing, Inc. of Nanticoke,
Pennsylvania. In 1997 ABC founded Liberty Truck Equipment located in
Cinnaminson, New Jersey. ABC is sold to LinCap (Linsalata Capital Partners)
in 1998. In 1999 ABC acquired American Commercial Truck Equipment of Tampa,
Florida. In 2000 ABC acquired Northwest Truckstell of Portland, Oregon,
Scherer Truck Equipment with locations in Riverside, Missouri; Auburn Hills,
Michigan; and Louisville, Kentucky, and also acquired D&H Truck Equipment
with locations in San Diego and Fontana, California.
America's Body Company encompasses over 470,000 square feet of facilities on
125 acres to handle all of your truck and van upfitting needs. Headquartered
in Cleveland, Ohio, America's Body Company has 10 locations nationwide that
respond to the challenges of quality every day.
ABC Pools
America's Body Company was the first company of its type to offer chassis
cab pools and is now the largest commercial pool for Dodge, Ford, and
General Motors.
