ABC Coach Lines Inc. built their own bus bodies on lengthened Ford BB V-8
chassis. As a standard long-wheelbase BB frame of 1934 was only 157", ABC
added a 38" section to produce a chassis whose wheelbase totaled 195".
Their aerodynamic bodies included a standard-looking Ford front end, but
from there back, it was pure Buck Rogers. Their 1934-35 Coaches included
insulated glass with ventilating panes, a V-shaped split windscreen, and a
huge bulbous body with built in rear fender spats and an extremely wide body
that flared out from a custom built cowl that sloped upwards from a stock
Ford radiator. Also unusual were ABC's sliding passenger entrances, located
in the middle of the passenger-side of their bulbous bodies.
